Huwaa !!“Huwaa!!
Sayup-sayup kedengaran suara bayi menangis.

Bertaubatlah kerana Allah masih menyayangi dirimu.

Personality Profile -Oprah Winfrey-

Have you ever seen “The Oprah Winfrey Show” before? Or even hear “Oprah Radio” or read Oprah magazine? Do you ever wonder who this successful person is? I bet you are already know who this person is just by listening to her voice.

This successful lady is an American television host, producer, and philanthropist, best known for her self-titled, multi-award winning talk show, which has become the highest-rated program of its kind in history. Though there are conflicting reports as to how her name became "Oprah", Winfrey was originally named "Orpah" after the Biblical character in the Book of Ruth. According to an interview with the Academy of Achievement, Winfrey claimed that her family and friends' inability to pronounce “Orpah” caused them to put the “P” before the “R” in every place else other than the birth certificate.

Know as “Oprah Winfrey”, Oprah Gail Winfrey was born in January 29, 1954 and has been ranked the richest African American of the 20th century and was once the world’s only black billionaire. She is known as the most influential woman in the world. This powerful lady was born into poverty and have been experienced a miserable time during her childhood, including being raped at the age of nine and becoming pregnant at 14. However, her son has died immature. Then she lives with her father and got her first job at a local grocery store

At age 17, Winfrey won the Miss Black Tennessee beauty pageant and landed a job in radio while still study in high school and started involved in the local evening news at the age 19. With all her hard work and courage, she finally launched her own production company and became internationally organization. She even reinvented her talk show in the mid 1990s that focus on literature, self improvement and spirituality. One of the key features of Oprah Winfrey's television persona is that her own private life has been an essential element of her talk-show format of public therapy. Her poor black background and her past and current problems with child abuse, men, and weight have made Oprah an exposed public personality on television and have allowed her loyal audience to feel that they "know" her quite well. This televisual familiarity is part of the power of Oprah Winfrey.
The Oprah Winfrey Show started the wildly influential "Oprah's Book Club" in 1996 where Oprah endorses what she considers to be books of value. Books that received the Oprah endorsement often suddenly went to number 1. Apart from being a successful Talk show host she is also a producer, successful actress, Founder of the successful "O, the Oprah Magazine", co founder of "Oxygen Media", and a generous Philanthropist. Oprah Winfrey continues to follow her dreams through her many business and media interests.

Oprah has come from being a poor, black, farm girl from Mississippi to a national celebrity. To her resume she can add reporter, actress, writer, producer, activist and TV talk show host... but it doesn't stop there. Oprah, it seems, is unstoppable.

Start your island vacation here!!

Hi guys, in this second assignments, we are assign by Miss Mimi to promote product and a review of it for the need of thinking and writing subject. The product can be anything such as apparels, books, services, etc. As for me, i choose to promote a vacation island which is Pulau Kapas as my product. Lets check it out!

If you’re looking for the perfect island getaway, then a visit to Pulau Kapas in Terengganu is a must. Popular among Malaysian and international travelers alike, this blissful island is surrounded by clear waters rich in marine life.

About 6km off the coast of Marang is Pulau Kapas, an island renowned for its clear waters, sandy white beaches and swaying palms. Kapas Island is situated offshore about 30 minutes by slow boat or 10 minutes by fast boat from Marang jetty, 20 minutes south of Kuala Terengganu.

The resorts on Kapas Island are mostly spread out over three beaches on the western shore, facing the mainland. Accommodation here ranges from dorm rooms to moderately priced air-conditioned chalets. More luxurious accommodation is available on Gemia Island, a small islet just a few hundred metres northwest of Kapas.

Pulau Kapas means Cotton Island in Malay and this peculiar name is attributed to the pure white beaches that are the trademark of this island. The name comes as no surprise once you have walked along these beaches. It is a lovely small island with beautiful, quiet, unspoiled sandy beaches; cool and clear blue waters, swaying coconut trees and caves with swallows’ nests. Its waters are home to beautiful marine life such as fish, turtles, corals and others.

Another reason why Kapas Island is popular is because of the excellent snorkelling in the waters surrounding the island. There is an abundance of corals and other marine life, visibility is good and the water is shallow and calm. Because the coral is mainly around the rocky edges of the island, you can still go swimming off the beautiful beaches, even at low tide.

The best time to visit Pulau Kapas is when The monsoon season peaks between November and March every year. You can expect more rain and rough seas and most resorts are typically closed from end October through end-February. Peak season is between July and August. Kapas is popular with locals for day trips and over weekends and public holidays.

There are several ways to getting to Marang. Marang is south of Kuala Terengganu and is not to be confused with Merang which is north of Kuala Terengganu and the departure point for boats to Redang and Lang Tengah Islands. If you came by plane, the closest airport is in Kuala Terengganu, about 30 minutes from Marang. Air Asia and Malaysia Airlines fly daily to Kuala Terengganu from Kuala Lumpur. From the airport you can get a local bus or a taxi (around RM 15-20) to Marang.

If you came by buses, there aren’t any direct coach services to Marang, but buses approaching Kuala Terengganu from the south can drop you off here on request. There are also local buses and taxis from Kuala Terengganu to Marang. Examples if you come from Kuala Lumpur, buses depart from the Hentian Putra bus station. Several choices are available, including Transnational, Damai, Konsortium, Plusliner, Sutera and Mutiara. Tickets cost around RM 30 and the journey takes around 7 hours. Buses depart early in the morning or late evening for overnight journeys. Ask to be dropped off at Marang.

From Marang, the only way to go to Pulau Kapas is by boat. Boat tickets can be bought at the jetty in Marang or pre-arranged with your resort and included in your package. There are regular transfers throughout the day and according to demand. Return trips cost around RM 25 and take 15 minutes by speedboat. Slower, cheaper boats are also available but take 30 minutes.

While Kapas Island is known as snorkelling paradise - partly because of the relatively shallow reefs - there are a number of excellent scuba diving spots as well. Those that prefer to stay out of the water can enjoy the untouched jungle by crossing the island on one of the footpaths that cut through the greenery.

Other than that, the soft white sand on the island is not only a great place to relax and enjoy the view, but makes a perfect beach volleyball field. A few resorts rent out sea kayaks so you can explore the secluded bays and some of the deserted beaches on Kapas Island by paddling there yourself. There are a few beaches on the island that are excellent for swimming, even at low tide, as the coral is further out to sea and there is no danger of stepping on it. The area is also popular for windsurfing and sailing.

Kapas Island is famous for squid catching activities whereby tourist flock to the island from the month of April to September every year for this unique activity. Guest will go squid catching at night time by a local fisherman boat, equipped with the squid catching equipment to catch a squid as big as 20 inches long. The squid caught will be up to the guest for own barbeque and to be cook at the resort restaurant at a minimal charge.

So how is it? Have you guys find it interesting? Will you consider this place to be one of your vacation destination? I really hope so.. So,what are you waiting for? Let's go holiday and travel in our country. For futher information, lets visit www.journeymalaysia.com.

Assignment 1: About Me

It was 9pm when i started writing this blog. I'm still feeling a bit blur what to write about me and where do i start? I'm sure most of us are first time in this kind of things. As for me, to start this blogging thing with zero knowledge are very scary. After awhile, i think its fun to discover new thing such as creating layout, writing new post, exchange expression and idea. What i love the most is to see the creativity of my classmate to design their own blog.

Now i would like to talk bout my blog itself. I've chosen the name " coffee table blog" instead of coffee table book because it more suitable and i want people to look at my blog, find it interesting to see, to read ,to entertain and give the informatiom that they want~ I guess. I choose the green color as my background because that is my favourite color. It's give me the relaxing feeling and very ease to the eyes. http://www.futiesyaituaku.blogspot.com/ is my URL. I've decided to use this URL to help me remember it easily. The content of this blog are strictly for educational purposes ( Thinking & Writing Strategies-LIB 401 class ) and when my lecturer, Miss Mimi give us an assignment, all the information must be post in here.

It's enough bout this blog. Now let me introduce bout myself. My names is Nita Futiesya bt Kamson and given by my late grandma. I'm just a simple girl and the eldest in 6 sibling. Being 23 years old this year, nothing change so much. It's feel just like i was eight, twelve or 18 years old. I'm still staying with my parents, still studying and haven't got any improvement. To see my friends working, having their own assets, talks about future (married, family, house, car) make me realise that there still far a way to go in my life.

I'm use to study in Sek Keb Sultan Hishamuddin Alam Shah next to the Bank Negara from standard 1 to 6. Then i went to Methodist Girl School,Kuala Lumpur behind Masjid Negara for my secondary school. After a year, my family moved to Klang so i've changed school to Sek Men Tmn Sri andalas, Klang. While waiting for my Spm result, I've working at Metrojaya for 6 months before i future my studies in Faculty Art and Design, Uitm shah alam for 3 years and now here i am. Taking Interpersonal Communication as my sequence i really hope i can stick with this course for next 3 years and graduate with flying colors.
